Changelog

A notice about new versions also appears on the app's start screen.

v1.0.5

July 20, 2026

  • Added Application tracks (Windows). Capture audio from a browser or karaoke app and mix it into your own output (for singing streams and live broadcasts; enable it in Preferences to use it).
  • Added live input from a MIDI keyboard. Play the selected MIDI track's sound (the built-in synth or an instrument plugin) directly from a connected MIDI keyboard. It sounds both while playing and while stopped (choose your keyboard under Preferences → "MIDI Input").
  • Added recording from a MIDI keyboard. While a keyboard is connected, a record button appears on MIDI tracks, and your performance is recorded as bar-aligned MIDI clips.
  • Added step input to the piano roll. Play the keyboard to place notes one at a time at the cursor with the chosen length (chords are supported).
  • Added many editing features to the piano roll. Control lanes for pitch bend, modulation, expression, pan and sustain; quantize; duplicate, octave-shift, match lengths, remove overlaps and snap note ends to the grid for selected notes; audition by clicking the keyboard; note-name display; and more.
  • Improved the piano roll's usability. Split the top into a "toolbar row" and a "bar-number row", made the velocity area's height draggable, and let you zoom by dragging the bar ruler up and down.
  • You can now handle MIDI clips together. Select multiple MIDI clips (Shift/Cmd-click or range selection) and merge them into one from the right-click menu.
  • Fixed bugs, including an occasional crash when duplicating, deleting, or moving a track to a folder via right-click; MIDI tracks sometimes not sounding when played right after being added; and the volume value not being reflected right after adding a MIDI track.

v1.0.4

July 15, 2026

  • Added Stream Mirror output (integration with streaming software). Send the sound you're hearing now (the final mix) to a separate output device at the same time as the main one. Even if your audio device has no loopback feature, you can get your vocals into streaming software (such as OBS). Configure it under Preferences → "Streaming", and a setup guide for streaming integration is provided.
  • Added a pen tool to the piano roll. With the D key (or the pencil button), you can draw notes by clicking and dragging in empty areas. Holding Cmd (Ctrl on Windows) temporarily switches to the pen.
  • Added a playhead-follow (auto-scroll) button to the piano roll. Toggle it with the F key (or the follow button).
  • Added Legato to the piano roll. With the L key, extend selected notes to the start of the next note to close gaps between notes all at once.
  • Fixed an issue where importing compressed audio such as MP3 caused the playback position to sound slightly off each time you played (it is now converted to WAV on import).
  • Fixed an issue where the built-in effects (EQ, compressor, etc.) were not duplicated together with the track when duplicating it.
  • Made various smaller fixes and usability improvements (such as letting you split notes in the piano roll).

v1.0.3

July 13, 2026

  • Added folder tracks: group multiple tracks into a folder and control volume, mute, solo and insert FX (INS) together (turn on "Enable adding folder tracks" in Preferences to use them).
  • Projects with plugins now open much faster (the window appears first and plugins load in the background).
  • The selected track can now be moved up / down with the ↑ / ↓ keys.
  • Fixed audio glitches and possible crashes when changing the audio buffer size during playback.
  • Fixed all tracks briefly dropping out when adding a plugin during playback.
  • Fixed occasional crashes when quitting the app or switching projects.
  • Fixed memory usage growing over long sessions.
  • Other minor fixes (stuck meters, piano-roll undo granularity, stutter while zooming, etc.).

v1.0.2

July 10, 2026

  • You can now retake with the Q key while recording: the current take is discarded and recording instantly restarts from the original start position (a setting lets you keep the previous take in the take list).
  • Range selections can now span multiple tracks and take lanes.
  • Waveforms inside a range selection can now be deleted at once with Delete / Backspace.
  • Now runs on macOS 11 (Big Sur) and later (previously macOS 12 and later).
  • Other minor bug fixes.

v1.0.1

July 8, 2026

  • The macOS build now runs on Intel Macs too (Universal: Intel + Apple Silicon).
  • New projects now remember the previous save location, sample rate, and bit depth (the save location can be reset with the "Default" button).
  • Added a setting to choose whether the "export finished" dialog is shown.
  • Reworked sample-rate handling to prevent audio dropouts on Windows caused by a mismatch with the audio device.
  • Plugin editor windows can now be resized (for plugins with large interfaces).
  • The plugin editing-preview sound now plays even while playback is stopped.
  • Export now automatically compensates for plugin latency so tracks stay in time with each other.
  • Fixed a crash when recording in stereo on a mono-input audio device.
  • Fixed crashes during export with certain plugins, and when an export finishes (mainly on Windows).
  • Fixed the piano roll not responding to the Space key for play/stop (Windows).
